Further big names for V Festival

Big name rock and pop stars including Eels, Tinie Tempah, Feeder and The Magic Numbers have been added to the bill for this year’s V Festival.

The event, planned for Weston Park, on the Shropshire/Staffordshire border, on August 21 and 22, has also added a string of other acts including Robyn, Gabriella Climi, The Saw Doctors, Diana Vickers, Example and Hurts.

V Festival 2010 will also mark the return of indie group Feeder, fresh from some recent time out and loaded with new material.

Spokesman James Duffy said: “Both V Festival sites at Hylands Park, Chelmsford and Weston Park, will welcome rock sensation the Eels and the UK’s hottest grime artist Tinie Tempah.

“Electro pop princess Robyn is back to entertain the crowds, as is Australian beauty Gabriella Cilmi who is set to wow the crowds for her second year at V.


“Brit group The Magic Numbers will make an anticipated return to deliver a dose of indie for good measure, along with Irish sensations The Saw Doctors. Newcomers Diana Vickers, Example and Hurts will also make their mark at this year’s hottest festival.”

V Festival kicks off its 15th anniversary celebrations by announcing a world class line up for this year’s festival, being headlined by Kings of Leon and Kasabian.The V Festival arena will run from noon until 11pm on both on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd August 2010.The 2010 V Festival is coming soon. The festival also features Kings Of Leon, Kasabian, Stereophonics, Faithless, The Prodigy, David Guetta, Pet Shop Boys, Cheryl Cole, Paul Weller, The Kooks, Paolo Nutini, Florence And The Machine and Mika, among others.

V Festival is now in its 15th year and was the first UK festival to operate over two days and swap line-ups overnight.
